WCEP'S METHODS FOR IMPLEMENTING KÜDEP:

The primary goal of KÜDEP is to enable students from different cultures to better understand one another, gain diverse perspectives, and develop as global citizens. The program aims to enhance cultural awareness, eliminate prejudices between cultures, and contribute to a peaceful world.

Students participating in KÜDEP programs have the opportunity to learn the language, cultural norms, and social structure of the host country while studying abroad. Additionally, by introducing their own cultures to the host country, they initiate a reciprocal cultural exchange process. This process significantly contributes to the development of young people as global citizens.

Kültürel Adaptasyon ve Farkındalık
Cultural Adaptation and Awareness

WCEP provides students with a comprehensive cultural orientation program that aligns with the philosophy and tradition of KÜDEP, which has been implemented in 46 countries for 70 years. The content of the training offered throughout this program is designed with attention to KÜDEP's "intercultural learning" dimension. To achieve this, various intercultural learning models are considered in order to create the most effective learning environment for our students. Students are equipped with the necessary support to help them adapt more easily to the culture of the host country.

 Dil Yeterliliği
Language Proficiency

KÜDEP adopts the philosophy of language proficiency acquisition as a fundamental principle. It combines KÜDEP's nearly 70-year tradition with the demands of the modern era. In this context, it offers various language support programs provided by the Ministries of Education of 16 countries, including the Canadian Ministry of Education, to help students develop their foreign language skills. Throughout their stay in the host country, students actively use their foreign language skills in both everyday life and academic environments to enhance their proficiency.

 Sosyal ve Kültürel Etkinlikler
Social and Cultural Activities

One of KÜDEP's primary goals is to ensure that students are not only equipped with academic knowledge but also able to view the world from a broader perspective through interaction with different cultures. Social and cultural activities are a key component of this process. Such activities accelerate students' cultural integration, provide them with new social skills, and create a foundation for intercultural dialogue.

The social and cultural activities of KÜDEP are among the most important elements of the program. Through these activities, students are introduced to new cultures, develop their social skills, and contribute to their personal growth. WCEP effectively implements the philosophy of KÜDEP in this area, enabling students to enrich themselves both academically and socially. These activities help young people grow as global citizens and understand cultural diversity.

 Gönüllü Aile Programı
Volunteer Host Family Program

KÜDEP embraces the philosophy of creating opportunities to deepen understanding and respect for others and their cultures, as well as to explore the realities of humanity. In this context, it places great importance on students staying with volunteer families throughout the program. WCEP, sharing the same philosophy and awareness, ensures that its students have the chance to observe and learn about the local way of life by staying with volunteer families during the program. This allows students to gain a closer understanding of cultural differences and adapt more quickly to the culture of the host country.

 Akademik Destek ve Rehberlik
Academic Support and Guidance

In the philosophy of KÜDEP (Intercultural Student Exchange Program), academic support and guidance are fundamental pillars of the program. This aspect not only ensures that students receive education in a new country and experience its culture but also supports their academic success, contributing to the achievement of their future educational and career goals. KÜDEP aims to introduce students to cultural richness while maximizing their academic potential.

Studying in a different country presents both opportunities and challenges for students. New languages, unfamiliar educational systems, and different academic approaches are among the aspects students must adapt to. In the KÜDEP philosophy, academic support and guidance play a vital role in helping students overcome these challenges.

Similarly, WCEP provides academic counselling services to help students easily adapt to the educational landscape of their host country. Students receive professional guidance on course selection, academic success goals, and career planning.
