Dear Parents and
Dear Students,
Worldwide Cultural Exchange Program (WCEP) is an organization that is based in Toronto, organizes student exchange programs in 16 countries with the highest quality education systems, especially the Canadian Ministry of Education, focuses on establishing lifelong friendships by bringing different cultures together in a personal family environment, and also focuses on high academic success and social skills. As WCEP Turkey Office, we work in coordination with the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Turkey, in full compliance with the laws/regulations, and contribute directly to the promotion of our country, while continuing our work with the aim of raising world citizens who speak two foreign languages at a native level and have developed academic and social skills. We implement joint projects with State High Schools, Private High Schools, Provincial-District National Education Directorates and the Ministry of National Education, and we break many grounds with these projects. The rights of our students participating in the program are guaranteed in the year they participate in the exchange program, in accordance with Article 28 of the Secondary Education Institutions Regulation dares September 7, 2013. When these students return to Turkey, they can easily obtain their accreditation from the Provincial National Education Accreditation Offices with the report cards they received abroad and continue their education without losing a year. While academic success is one of the main criteria that foreign university admission officers look for in foreign student files, these officers do not ignore differences. Therefore, it is seen that one or more years spent in the International High School Student Exchange Program has a great impact on the differentiation of student files, and this makes acceptance easier. We are happy to witness that our students, who gained experience thanks to the program and started studying at the university of their choice with this experience, do not experience cultural adaptation problems and that this has a positive impact on their academic and social lives. As WCEP Türkiye, our main aim is to contribute to the development of our students as individuals who have intercultural skills, represent their country correctly abroad and stand more firmly on their feet.
SINCERELY YOURS,
VOLKAN CERRAHOĞLU
