Turkish Teachers Received Instructor Certificate in the USA

Instructors working in high schools that implement the Advanced Placement international curriculum and diploma program went to the USA under the leadership of the Turkish Association of Schools Implementing International Programs. Teachers who participated in workshops on the program received an international instructor certificate.
Participation in the international curriculum and diploma program AP (Advanced Placement), which is run by the College Board, a non-governmental organization that operates to increase access to higher education, and is widely implemented around the world, especially in the USA and Canada, is increasing every year. While the College Board supports more than 7 million students to successfully transition to university every year, according to the latest data, the number of students registered for AP exams alone in 2023 reaches 245 thousand, an increase of 12.91 percent compared to the previous year.
While many students in our country who want to continue their undergraduate education abroad prefer schools that implement the AP program, it is known that Turkish educational institutions received approval last year to offer 33 of 38 AP courses. While the high schools that implement the AP program are mainly located in Istanbul and Izmir, the Turkish Association of Schools Implementing International Programs (UP Schools Association) organized an educational tour in order to further strengthen the Turkish education system in the international arena.
Within the scope of the event, AP teachers from Kabataş Boys' High School, Validebağ Science High School, and İzmir Atatürk High School participated in AP workshops in Tampa, USA and were awarded an international instructor certificate.
Volkan Cerrahoğlu, President of the Turkish Association of Schools Implementing International Programs, made the following statement on the subject:
“We are happy to take advantage of such international education opportunities to raise the educational standards of our country and make our students competitive at the international level. We believe that this success will contribute to the further development of the Turkish education system.”
THEY WERE AWARDED THE INTERNATIONAL INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATE
In the program organized by the Turkish Association of Schools Implementing International Programs, the delegation led by Secretary General Melisa İpcioğlu attended the AP workshops organized by the College Board, one of the leading educational institutions in the USA. Turkish educators had the opportunity to gain in-depth information about the AP program's current education standards and gained important information about the innovations brought by the program and the best practices they can use to increase student success. They developed their skills to provide better education to their own students.
.Volkan Cerrahoğlu said, “Educators from Kabataş Erkek High School, Validebağ Science High School, and Izmir Atatürk High School were awarded the College Board's international instructor certificate at the end of the trip we organized as the Turkish Association of Schools Implementing International Programs. These certificates support the future success of students and bring the Turkish education system one step closer to international standards."
